Hello everyone, my name is René-Osmani Diakité, one of the new Ubuntu Youth Council chairs. I have lived in Alberta for the vast majority of my life, but I was originally born in Montréal, Québec. I am 18 years old and have just recently completed my high-school studies at Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School in Red Deer. This fall, I will be pursuing my post-secondary studies at Red Deer College, undertaking a Bachelor of Kinesiology. I have worked with Ubuntu since early August of 2020, and I am very excited to continue my work with the team. Looking towards the future, I plan to be able to bring to light several different topics of discussion quintessential to contemporary problems; furthermore, I hope to create several different events celebrating our diversity and differences.
In order to better future generations and solve the biggest problems in our society, I believe that education is the key. Educating those around me is exactly what I will set out to do.
